Old friends reunited

Only a few weeks ago, crackling over some secure coms, was an old mate of mine from many years ago. AtomicBetty, former HUANG member announced her return to space. She was reforming an old corp Sporadic Movement and coming down to war zone to join the fight against the Amarr. Tired of 0.0 politics and POS bashing, SPORE was looking for a new start.

SPORE, only numbering 5 or so as only a week into the rebirth of this once feared and notorious corporation. Was hungry for action, and after close to half a year of inaction from me, so was I. To our luck there was the influx of Pandemic Legion into Amamake. Soon the space lanes where full of PL ships, Osoggur gate was camped 23/7 by at times with up to 20 super carriers and a few titans to boot.

One night some very old friends again formed fleet together, AtomicBetty, DuPuy, Souvera Corvus, Yoshikawa Eveangelicon, Koshua.. looking back 5 and a half years ago these 5 where the usual suspects patrolling the space lanes in Molden Heath for the once famous MH-SEC security service. We all grew up fighting, Infinitus Odium, Mercenary Coalition, Veritas Immortals and many more...

the old crew started hunting, as we knew not much apart from SmurfsBrigade blobs where in Low sec Amarr space so we hunted Metropolis. Our scout, SPORE member Rolgann in his Rapier  jumped into Hadozeko and reported a hostile fleet camping it. After hearing the list of hostile ships, I knew it was pretty even, 6 of us, 7 of them. and they would have to take gate guns.. giving us the +1 to make it even.

Being in a heavy tanked armour Hurricane I volunteered to jump in and pull aggression. As I held cloak and looked at those who where about to die, I formed the plan in my head.  The key factor for the enemy was there Scimitar a remote repair ship or Logistics ship,  I decided to get Rolgann in his Rapier and DuPuy in his heavy missile Drake to drive him off the field. I declared the plan to the fleet, then de-cloaked and called the Pandemic Legion Hurricane primary.

This is the time of the battle where trust in your comrades comes into effect. I knew my guys had good fits on there ships and would follow my order. Knowing this fight could go either way, all followed me into system and joined battle. No hesitation, pure trust and loyalty.

As the fight progressed a Pandemic region Talos jumped into the frey, knowing this had a week tank but packed a huge punch I called for all to switch from the Hurricane and kill the Talos, it went down like a sack of Potato's. I seeing my armour was cracking, I then called primary on one of the more expensive ship's on field thinking to go for isk efficency if things went bad, next to die was the Pandemic region Sacrilege . By this time DuPuy and Rolagan had done there job and killed the wild card of the battle a pandemic Legion Scimitar

Though now my Hurricane's hull was cracked and the vaccum of space was ripping my ship to shreds, DuPuys Drake and Rolganns Rapier where able to bring much needed fire power down on the remaining Pandemic ships. Escaping out in my pod, my old mates, whos experience and skill match mine from many years of fighting continued to rip Pandemic Legion to shreds. Only there Absolution Command ship and Rapier where able to escape the field from there original fleet. We only lost my Hurricane..

This is why we Hunt.. for the thrill, for the kill!

Adversity

As a young pilot I remember the most testing times for my patience and loyalty was adversity.

I remember sitting in a rifter with Tetseptus in Oddelulf in Molden Heath waiting to attack a more skilled Pirate fleet lead by Velsharoon and his corp Corsets and Carebears. In a flash both of us where in pods before we could even blink. Every now and again, when I was available we would have a few victories against them. However so many times I threw ships into a meat grinder and was frustrated on how these guys where so much more able to destroy then I was.

Again a few months after, We where fighting Infinitus Odium or INFOD. I a new pilot, still in a stabber (back in them days we still warped to 15km of gates and getting into bigger ships took a lot longer) I spent hours docked, unable to fight and when I did un-dock, sensor boosted battle ships would blast me away.

Then Mercenary Coalition war declared our alliance. At the time this was the alliance with the biggest capital fleet in all of New Eden. I not only spent hours, but days stuck in station. I remember I lost 4 Stabber cruisers in less then a hour. My wallet was empty and I was pulling my hair out. After a week or so the war was over, however Infinitus Odium having watched and taking lessons from MC, war declared us to finish off our little alliance for good. As I have said before we lost every fleet battle, however in small guerrilla actions killing off 1 or 2 INFOD pilots here and there. The over all isk vlaue of ships lost in the war, we defeated them, though none of them will ever admit that. This to me gave a glimmer of hope.

In Foundation alliance in Great Wildlands, most of the time I was available our fleets where very successful, demorilizing  the enemy for once except for EVOKE alliance. When EVOKE got a fleet together or started camping stations and gates we had little or no response. Again I was pissed off and irritated, however the big fights against them in E02 where some of the most remembererable fights ever. Fist time I fought Titians, I was in a Sabre trying to bubble super caps, I got doomesdayed a few times. But hundreds on the battle field I dreamed about it for weeks. EVOKE moved out and took up a campaign in 0.0 space elsewhere so again my sanity was returned.

After the death of Foundation, I went to the war zone of the Amarr and Minmatar Militias. Here again I experienced great success and a lot of defeat. The "late night" fleets where lead by a great personality Bahamut420 he was able to draw about him skilled warriors who would risk expensively fit or just well fit ships, who where able to adapt to the enemy's reshipping and take many victories.

However after the moon or moons crossed mid way of their home worlds, these warriors where forced to sleep. After this time some bold fleet commanders would start fleets, sit in Plex's hoping to hold them as a far superior force, who where able to refit there fleet to take us on. They would then come in with superior numbers and equipment and destroy us. This happened night after night, until the pilot who formed the fleets lost all hope got so much abuse and went and did something else.

I tried to help him FC,  as he claimed he wasn't good at knowing ships strengths or how to figure out if it would be an even fight. I wasn't interested in waiting for fleets to form or advertise them. To me this was a good fit!  He start and form up the fleet , I lead the combat.. but in some situations he would express this was his fleet and STFU.. only for me to see all others die yet again..so i stopped trying.

Currently Adversity has smacked me in the face again. I am unable to join the old late night guys as planetary duties have tied me down. When I am able to fight, I  find people fighting in Plex's allowing the enemy to scan them down, find our ship types and end up dieing horribly. Little team work and those leading the teams geting frustrated and angry or me being frustrated and angry as enemy's I expect to be able to kill easily defeat me.

I know I have better tactics I know I can do better.. I need to focus, If I am so critical I need to express too people what I want and what I believe I can defeat the enemy with. I should take the lead and with my experience aim for victory.. some days I wonder if I can.. or if people will follow me again.. after showing my frustration and anger at feeding a hungry enemy easy kills...

I still dream of how I saw smeggy and Futher Bezluden work back in the days of MH-SEC. Futher would form up the fleet, and move them about, give out the mundane orders, smeggy would lead the battle. This situation would be perfect for me, as I could plan and calculate what the enemy has vs us, as some of the pressure of the mundane is taken away from me. Maybe one day I will find my 2ic :)

One man's Freedom Fighter is another Man's Terrorist

Many years ago,

During Huang Yinglong's first battles against the Amarr slavers, Koshua earned a title amongst new Edan holo coms as a Terrorist against the Amarr empire. Belonging to the Minmatar loyalist alliance of Namtz'aar k'in, the Amarrian slavers sick of our alliances's out spoken resentment against them, sanctioned a war against us and other Minmatar loyalist allinace's (see PIE inc link Electus Matari war 2006) . The notorious PIE inc and Vigilla Valeria Alliance where the spear head of the aggression.

http://www.vigilia-valeria.org/
http://eve-history.net/wiki/index.php/PIE_Inc.

For some days NMTZ  alliance suffered in there home systems under the Amarrian organised and disciplined fleets. Our rag tag defence was poor, and though Axen Vormar the legendary fleet commander was able to put up some resistance we where suffering. I being only recently qualified for the the Jaguar assault frigate had already lost one to a failed Station undock battle. Hoping to hold an enemy Battle cruiser for other members of the resistance My shields didn't hold and I perished.... letting the enemy escape.

To my disgust when I was available for battle, few others where. In my arsenal was also a Hound Stealth Bomber which I decided to take all the way to the home of the oppressors.. Amarr Prime. The central Solar system the entire Amarr empire is based from.

I sat for days cloaked, waiting and waiting. Hoping for a target I could take on. However my missile's did not penetrate the armour of many who I shot at. Though in command of a powerful ship, my skills lacked and I was unable to make best use of it.

In desperation I headed home to refit a new Jaguar, but this time I had a trump card. I loaded its cargo hold full of Viral Agent. I was not going to let this superior enemy get the better of me. I was going to fly my cargo from Istodard in Molden Heath over 20 jumps to Amarr Prime. I was going to make them pay for the oppression and enslavement of our people. No matter the cost, no matter the loss...

No turning back now....

Unchallenged I entered Amarr Prime solar system, I chose the most populated station. To my amazement I easily warped to the station and docked with no question from customs or Amarrian military. I searched the station and chose a new pilot belonging to the PIE inc corporation we where at war with. Stealthily I tried to sneak over 60 containers of Viral agent into his hanger. Here I hoped to contaminate his planetary shuttles, his cargo hauling ships and any other vessel I could. Hopeing to spread the Virus as far and as fast as possible.

However not even half way threw my desperate mission, automated "sniffers" in the Amarrian station picked up the lethal cargo I was moving into station. Alarms sounded, air lock doors started to close down. The young Amarr pilot who's hanger I have broken into also alerted his alliance war ship pilots. My heart rate soured and adrenaline kicked in. I had to escape, and I had very little time to do so...

The manoeuvrability and speed of my Jaguar allowed me to scrap through the near closed dock doors. As behind me the station went on full environmental hazard Alert. However the Viral agent was still in my cargo. I had failed to complete what I planned to do.

When I finally managed to clear undock, PIE inc and Vigilla Valeria where waiting for me. News had quickly spread amongst there defensive channels about a Terrorist attempting to infect there home stations. My Jaguar was warp scrambled, webbed and neutralised upon undock.  I had no chance...

Soon I awoke in a new clone back in Molden Heath region, all covered in goo and sticky.

My mind was flashing with the shock of the failed attempt to take out the Imperial station and how close I had been to success. For weeks after many accusations on Gal Net where brought up against Koshua and NMTZ on the "terrorist" attempt against the Imperial station and planets of the Amarr empire. Pictures of the exploded ship, pictures of the contents of the cargo where flashed on billboards all over.

Many skilled diplomats from the Minmatar Republic played the issue down and not more then a week later the war was dropped.

Looking back at this mission, I now feel glad I wasn't successful. I could have also killed hundreds of thousands of Minmatar who are still enslaved by the Amarr. I now see that mass effect of biological warfare on a population will more often kill those who are not deserving of such a fate. Those who are deserving are often rich enough to survive the attack or avoid the effects.

However for me. I will never give up the fight. Some weeks I may lose more then I kill. But in service of the Minmatar militia, my war will not end.  Until I am happy that those who enslaved my tribe, those who oppress my people and those who corrupt my brothers and sisters to the false Amarrian Religion have paid the cost. I will never surrender. I will never quit..

We of Huang Yinglong will never falter, our way will never be silenced. Even if it takes a 1000 years, The secrets of the Golden Dragon will lead our tribes to victory.

Lest we forget.

My style is the best, and ill kill anyone who dares stand against me!

Zui Quan The way of the Drunken fist,

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=4950322673786962058#docid=942529506139088442

Concept

Zui Quan is a category of techniques, forms and fighting philosophy that appear to imitate a drunkard's movements. The postures are created by momentum and weight of the body, and imitation is generally through staggering and certain type of fluidity in the movements. It is considered to be among the most difficult wushu styles to learn due to the need for powerful joints and fingers. While in fiction practitioners of Zui Quan are often portrayed as being actually intoxicated, Zui Quan techniques are highly acrobatic and skilled and require a great degree of balance and coordination, such that any person attempting to perform any Zui Quan techniques while intoxicated would be likely to injure himself

Style

Even though the style seems irregular and off balance it takes the utmost balance to be successful. To excel one must be relaxed and flow with ease from technique to technique. Swaying , drinking, and falling are used to throw off opponents. When the opponent thinks the drunken boxer is vulnerable he is usually well balanced and ready to strike. When swigging a wine cup the practitioner is really practicing grabbing and striking techniques. The waist movements trick opponents into attacking sometimes even falling over. Falls can be used to avoid attacks but also to pin attackers to the ground while vital points are targeted.

Not a favoured art practised in the Huang Yinglong temples and looked down upon by other styles, Koshua has become a master of Zui Quan Space combat. Typically avoiding piloting larger vessels like capital ships and expensive Battle ship's, Zui Quan relies upon fast cruisers, and frigates as its preferred weapons.

Agility is the key of the Zui Quan along with foul breath (energy neutralisers) projectile vomit ( energy nosferatu) and drunk talk (tracking disrupting). However the art is broken down to 8 Drunken Vherokior god's or spirit styles. Each progress from each other, however each very different. The names of these 8 spirits are kept close to the followers of the style if not secret. They are not willing to shame or put into disrepute other Vherokior mystics for the flaws of the spirits they may idolise.

History

Zui Quan's history probably begins with the adoption of Minmatar slavery in Ammatar home worlds of the Derelik region. The Ammatar extensively adopted slavery to man their colonies, coming mainly from West and Central Devoid regions of the Amarr empire. Derelik, with its vast territory, was the major destination of Minmatar slaves, receiving 38.5% of all slaves sent by ships across the depths of space.

Zui Quan has a long and controversial history, since historical documentation in Derelik was very scarce in its colonial times. Evidences, studies and oral tradition leave little doubt about its Derelik roots, but it is impossible to precisely identify the exact location and time it began to take form.

Origins

In its first century the main economic activity in the Ammatar colony was the production and processing of dairy products. Ammatar colonists used to create large dairy farms, these farms which extensively used enslaved workers. Slaves, living in inhumane and humiliating conditions, were forced to work hard and often suffered physical punishment for any small misbehaviour. Even though slaves outnumbered the Ammatar colonists, the lack of weapons, the colonial law, the disagreement among slaves coming from different Minmatar cultures and their complete lack of knowledge about the land and its surroundings would usually discourage the idea of a rebellion.

In this environment Zui Quan began to develop. More than a fighting style, it was created as a hope of survival, a tool with which an escaped slave, completely unequipped, could survive in the hostile, unknown land and face the hunt of the colonial agents in charge of finding escapees, always armed and mounted.

Martial Art

Zui Quan is a fast and versatile martial art which is historically focused on fighting outnumbered or in technological disadvantage. Its name drunken fist comes mostly from how it is practised, under the nose's of the slave masters. Its students pretending to be drunk and stumbling about the place, dancing and imitation fighting in such an inebriated state.

The attacks in the Drunken Fist should be done when opportunity arises and must be decisive, like a direct kick in the face or a vital body part, or a strong takedown. Most Zui Quan attacks are made with the legs, like direct or swirling kicks,  leg sweeps, or knee strikes. The head strike is a very important counter-attack move. Elbow strikes, punches and other forms of takedowns complete the main list.
The defense is based on the principle of non-resistance, meaning avoid an attack using evasive moves instead of blocking it. Avoids depend on the direction of the attack and intention of the defender, and can be done standing or with a hand leaning on the floor. A block should only be made when the evade is not possible. This fighting strategy allows quick and unpredictable counter attacks, the ability to focus on more than one adversary and to face empty-handed an armed adversary.
A series of rolls and acrobatics (like the Cartwheel) allows the Drunken master to quickly overcome a takedown or a loss of balance, and to position themselves around the aggressor in order to lay up for an attack. It is this combination of attacks and defence which gives Zui Quan its perceived 'fluidity'.

Koshua's Sojourn

I was poor and restless, i looked about my meager captains quarters seeing many empty places as I had pawned a lot of belongings to fund new war ships to throw at Infinitus Odium during Namtz'aar K'ins second war against them.

See linked post under tital.

Namtz'aar k'in War Part 2

This ended up being a long war, over 4 weeks, though statistically NMTZ and friends won the war. Our fleets had been obliterated, our tactics and abilities in larger scale combat had been proven obsolete. We had only been able to save face as we attacked loan or small INFOD squads to keep the pressure up.

Typically in those days, of Huang Yinglong being apart of the NMTZ alliance and Molden Heath Security. Our modus operandi was to scramble all available combat pilots at reports of Piracy / Hostiles and make best speed. Pilots skill levels and squad set ups where pretty random, from new pilots in Rifters to more experienced in HAC's and Recons. Effective for taking on small groups of pirates, useless when taking on a 20 ship fleet of remote repping ECM hardened Battle Ships.

Also I had felt my loyalties been torn apart, The fabled Red Dwarf mining co. run by smeggy had left NMTZ after disagreements with NMTZ leader Pacal Balan. I had been contacted by smeggy in person and asked if i was interested in joining his new alliance 5th Column. Many other bigger corps of NMTZ left to join this new alliance... many friends. This of course caused a rift amongst NMTZ pilots and leaders along with 5th Column pilots and leaders. Not wanting to be caught up in the political drama, and frustrated buy my friends infighting, my feet got itchy.

I started to suffer wanderlust. I dreamed of massive fleet battles, carriers, mother ships and titans. I wanted to battle opponents who cut holes in space and held unimaginable wealth. I wanted wealth, my body guard needed bigger weapons...

So I left the order of the Golden Dragon, my brothers in arms, in search of selfish gain..

I contacted an old friend and pilot from MH-Sec, Space Chutney. He was more then happy for me and Yoshikawa to join Wildlands Heavy Technologies- WHAT-, in service of the alliance F0undati0n
-FDN-.

At that time -FDN- held numerical superiority over some systems of the Great Wildlands, lawless Thukker tribe owned 0.0 space.

F0undati0n was in heavy conflict with EVOKE alliance, Veritas immortals -V- , The Church and Destructive Influence (some silly pet alliance). My best memory’s from that era is destroying Blue Adepts sniper fleets in V89 or OJOS as Duck Dodgers in a recon ship got us a warp in on top of the enemies position with our close range battle ship's. He lit a cyno and dropped some support carriers into the fray as the long range hostile Battle ships fell apart unable to track our fleet.

Daily we would be Shooting up Linkeleo’s and Light Darkness fleets on the M-M gate in NIH as they made foolish engagements underestimating our abilities. or trying to raid our home system N-dq. This also would lead to us forcing our hand into EO2 and U3K fighting Ev0ke in there money making systems.

These where the days when  Foundation based out of the N-DQ solar system. The greatest event I experienced at that time was the siege of the EVOKE faction tower in E02. We attacked a faction death Star positioned belonging to Evoke in E02, we lost many dreads and Battle Ships to a skilled enemy POS gunner trying to reinforce it. Its Sancha heavy neutralisers ruined the capital ships ability to function and they became sitting ducks. To destroy the faction Sancha large POS, was the biggest battle at that point I had been in. Tau Ceti Federation (all French speaking 0.0 alliance) and Foundation along with some other friendlies of that time joined us on the final assault of the Evoke tower. This was the first engagement I ever participated in where Titans and Super carriers jumped in and raked havoc on the battle field. I remember losing a number of ships, as I was the “bubbler” in my Saber trying to hold down enemy super capitals so they couldnt escape. I was blown apart by enemy assault frigates, dooms dayed and was still able to return to the fight after my clone reactivated in a system next door. I was so busy speeding threw hundreds of ships trying to get close enough to drop a bubble to hold the enemies capitals, laser fire, tracer rounds and drones became a blur.  I dreamed about the fight for a week after.... it was a life changing experience..

After an extended campaign against EVOKE alliance in E02, we finally managed to drive them out of Great Wildlands altogether. Although they claimed they chose to leave to fight in Delve after a shift in power in that 0.0 region. For a short time we experienced some peace, however it didn't last long..

The next group of hostiles to fill the void was long time enemies of Foundation, the Veritas Immortals this was the 3rd great war between the alliances over the Great Wildlands
(see history of GW link- http://eve-history.net/wiki/index.php/Great_Wildlands))

This conflict, not a CONCORD sanctioned war, is where I feel I evolved as a combat pilot, learning more about leadership and tactics needed for victory. In my time shift under the leadership of G0rg0n or Valdor the fleet commanders of Foundation, we put the hurt onto -V-. So many days of battle on the NIH gate we slaughtered Veritas  I can't name or recall one which stands out more.

Later as the war progressed, Valdor and I used to sit out side N-DQ station in sniper ships popping Vesla, one of Princess Aricia’s maids from -V- who would spy on us.  After days of this, Vesla started talking and we got to know our enemy a little better. Later this would lead to an unpresadented cease fire.

The story unfolds like this,  Mars Voltar, fleet commander of IRON alliance and his crew where hot dropping our gangs in Great Wildlands with Dreadnoughts and Carriers, using a small Battle Ship fleet as bait. We had some success in some skirmish's, and also lost some of the early fights with him including some of ourown Carriers. Veritas along with their allies, The Church also had suffered the IRON incursions in to Great Wildlands, all where sick of it.

One night.. Princess Aricia fleet commander of Veritas convoed Valdor Hag, Foundations lead fleet commander. She reported the Mars Voltar and his force's had been spotted close bye, she was hoping for a mutual agreement to work together and kick this home invader out. To my shock after Valdor ordered us to drop fleet and join Princes Aricia's, joining comms I was horrified to hear Tassi of Infinitus Odium fleet commander of the Church alliance leading the operation. The vile slaver and murderer, I had battled for years. Though my blood boiled, I accepted his orders, knowing we all had the same goal of teaching IRON a lesson about coming to Great Wildlands.

Ill never forget hearing the voice of Tassi, his passion and enthusiasm, his foul mouth and complete demand for all to follow orders, to keep quiet and do what you are told. Together we sprung the IRON capital hot drop trap, then massacred the IRON fleet showing no mercy. That was the last we ever saw  IRON in Great Wildlands for a long long time..

After the 3rd war with Veritas Immortals, and many of there friends, the Wildlands enjoyed a time of relative peace. However a new bunch of Pirates got out attention in my old stomping grounds of Molden Heath.  The scurvy pirate crews name was Beyond Divinity -BYDI- these scum had also been hot dropping capitals on gates to kill solo Battle ships and such. -BYDI- and there capital alt corp reunion then started hot dropping carriers and dreads on -FDN- and our friends skirmish fleets at system gates or asteroid belts. Knowing how risky this action was we sort to exploit their boldness (stupidity?) and go for some easy capital ship kills.

We baited them in Bosena on the Oddeluf gate. They dropped there capitals on us as expected and we sprung our trap. Only one of there caps lived… he never jumped into Bosena leaving his mates to perish. After that -BYDI- hated us and smacked us for hot dropping there hot drop. Every word of hatred sung in my ears as we hurt them over and over again.

As twilight times came over F0undati0n, the fights with Red alliance and stirring up trouble in Curse (Blood Angel 0.0 territory) kept the combat pilots active. Here under the command of Valdor and Lord Maldror we practised and refined the tactics of Triage and Pantheon as seen in these historical
holo reels http://www.google.com.au/ig#m_3_%22EvE%20foundation%22

F0undati0n invaded Scalding pass and tried to take an Red Alliance outpost. Our logistics (ammo and spare ships) was poor and we couldn't keep pressure on the Russians and hold the system. We then attacked and held a Promethium moon (1 bil or more income a week) in Scalding pass. We held it for a month, smashed all Red alliance attempts to take it. Then RA pulled out of Scalding pass and handed it over to legion of xdeathx... they out numbered us and where able to double dooms day our fleets. Out gunned but not out classed F0undati0n then stopped the invasion of Scalding pass and Insmother and fell back to Great Wildlands.

At this point the peak of the alliance had been reached, and what goes up must come down. Infighting, core corporations leaving, new less friendly fleet commanders and a general bad taste struck the once mighty F0undati0n. Sad to leave Wildlands Heavy Tech. but knowing my time was up, I clicked my ruby red shoes heals, and shouted "there is no place like home" I ended back in Huang Yinglong... no place like home..

The Nyx's wave of destruction

I awoke to a loud comm call, it ringed threw my tired ears....

DuPuy: "a mother ship is attacking in Hedal, many ship losses, get here now!"
Koshua: *yawn* um i was asleep....
DuPuy: Nyx
Koshua: ? wtf!! a mother ship!!

Later that day...

Ma Zhiqiang. was about as our fellow members of HUANGBeetles light and AtomicBetty. I again awoke from a deep sleep. It seemed as i was having de-ja-vu, A Nyx mother ship was attacking in Hedal

I answered the call from Molden Heath security to get in small frigates to attempt to take out  the huge array of fighters the Nyx could deploy. I jumped in to my Jaguar and looked across the hangers. Our brave members Beetles Light and AtomicBetty had also answered the call of "scramble all pilots!"

We launched our selves into space, our warships dashing to the fight. We quickly assembled in Hedal, in a deep part of dead space. The commanders where discussing ways of how to knock out the mother ships fighters. The young warriors listened with eager intensity, the plan sprung... we where to use Vantlor {UNI} <NMTZ> in his battle ship as bait.

We had assembled a number of repair ships with the aid of shield and armor drones in our safe spot, our combat fleet sat in anticipation...

Then Vantlors smoking battle ship warped in, quickly the repair drones and remote repairers focused on his limping ship... then a swarm of fighters entered our space, the screams of engines and chatter of fire burst threw the comms.. I targeted a labeled fighter and my 200mm auto cannons kicked into action, others in the fleet also opened fire as we saw the rapid destruction of an enemy fighter costing about 80mil isk and as tuff as a Battle Cruiser.

Vantlors limping battle ship had to warp to dock. Our force hadn't formed to the size we needed, the enemy fighters not scrambled followed Vantlor to the station. The smoking battleship was only just able to get into dock safely, the once mighty ship looking like a smoking wreckage.  We waited for further action...

An enthralling discussion on doughnuts and mountain biking started in local, which ended in the crazed Nyx -mother ship- pilot claiming he "wasn't fat!" and seemingly offended, he left to Amarr space to sulk...

We all looked at each other in disbelief..the wave of destruction from the crazed mother ship pilot had suddenly ended. All from an insult about his weight!

I could hear the giggles from Beetles Light and AtomicBetty in the comms.. Ma Z who had now been promoted as the fleet commander ordered us to dock but stay in gang if he came back.. he didn't, many pilots fell asleep......

Watch a river long enough, you will see the bodies of your enemies pass

The day started with a request to pick up the rest of the minerals in Hrober, the corp had purchased for its hurried Hurricane building. I checked to see intelligence channels, no war targets online.

I jumped into my Mammoth, and set my destination. The journey there was safe. However as i entered Hrober, i saw in local 2 -VW- members (German Pirate coalition). I warped to the station the minerals where and as i came out of warp, i saw a enemy, wienner of -VW- in a Ferox, over 60km from me.

I docked and collected my minerals, i suspected -wienner-VW- to maybe camping me, but i decided he would come under fire from station sentry guns if he was stupid enough to engage me. So after a cup of coffee, i left station, and to my delight, wienner was there. Foolishly he locked me, i had already activated my shield resists. He fired a storm of missiles which crashed against my shields. I winced, hoping my warp core stabilisers would work. The missiles barley disrupted my shields. My warp core stabilisers kicked into operation and I warped off. Behind I saw an explosion, as the enemy Ferox went up in flames from the station fire. I laughed so hard  my pod fluids bubbled. Not long after i docked at HQ eager to tell my story.

I went to the officers lounge and had some breakfast and more coffee. I sat about and read the alliance and corp communications i had received on my data log. Then over the comms came a call. Enemy POS attack on again!! the tower has come out of invulnerability mode!

I asked what was needed, commander Vantlor -UNI-  requested a warp disrupting bubble be set up to protect fleet from incoming enemy. I saw in our corp hangers that master nyrr had made one, so i grabbed it and told Vantlor if it was lost alliance would have to replace. I jumped into my Jaguar and loaded the small Mobile warp disruptor, and with Huang warrior Tetseptus and new friend Vheroir i set off to the siege.

Once there i requested repairer drones be on me when i arrive at the pos. I wasn't looking forward to loosing another Jaguar. I warped to the fleet and moved 20km behind them, so I anchored the warp disruptor and warped to a planet.

The battle ships pounded the POS, a number of "Dark Forces" alliance cruisers where lost to the POS fire, NMTZ commanders ordered all cruisers out! Tetseptus left the siege heavily battered, Vheroir in his Cyclone held up well. I was warping to planets as Grant Smith -INFOD- in a Raven was about, and another hostile had been popping into system. I warped to a planet and accidentally decloaked Grant Smith, his Raven suddenly appeared below me. We both panicked and warped in the same direction. However he landed at a asteroid belt, and i ended up at the Planet next to it. A game of cat and mouse developed with me and Grant, i was the cat!

Then over the comms and in the distant space came a massive explosion. Alliance pilots cheered as the hostile tower died. we had been victorious!

I had planned a convoy to run, however Huang pilots had been ill and other sleeping, i had chosen a bad time. But then over comms a warning was sent out. A large enemy fleet was on its way to 66u

I scrambled into my Stabber, and set off again. the gang was 19 ship strong, and we where coming from both sides, we had the enemy in a classic pincer movement. Myridian Dynamics had 9 battle ships coming from 66u, NMTZ pilots from Isto and Hedal had a 10 ship strong force. The fleet engaged early in the 0.0 system, enemy ships delivered massive damage, we took heavy losses, i ended up tangeling with another Stabber, who was tech 2 fit, i wasnt...My Stabber died as i attempted to flee, I managed to escaped home in a pod, with Futher Bezluden, Mythral and a number of other NMTZ pilots who lost their ships. On our way through the many systems home we declared an egg race (in our fragile pods) to our home Istodard, winner gets breakfast cooked for them. The allied force however continued the battle, and in the end we annihilated them, to last ship, they lost more than we did, and alliance salvage crew picked the rewards.

I sat back safe in HQ as final reports of the battle filtered in... the saying from Sun Tzu teachings echoed in my head......watch a river long enough, you will see the bodies of your enemies pass....
